All of our Doctors are members of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Saint Paul District Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association.
Dr. Norsted founded Northview Dental in 1980 after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of service, Dr. Norsted has been a leader in both the dental community and in public service. In 2006 and 2007 he joined Mission Jamaica to provide critically needed dentistry and supplies to hundreds whom otherwise have no access. His more than 1,000 hours of continuing education have spanned all areas of general and cosmetic dentistry, including completion of the Las Vegas Institute's esthetics continuum. Dr. Norsted provides comprehensive care in all areas of dentistry.
Dr. Peter Swenson achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors in 1996 from the University of Minnesota Dental School. He joined Northview Dental later that same year. Dr. Swenson has received extensive postgraduate education in all areas care including the intensive esthetic smile design and reconstruction program from the NYU School of Dentistry. He enjoys comprehensive patient treatment in all areas with a specialty for cosmetics and working to alleviate patient fears (anxiolysis). Dr. Swenson is an Invsalign Certified Provider and experienced Cerec Cad/Cam user .
Dr. Johnson is a 1978 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He joined Northview Dental in 1993 providing cosmetic and restorative care for patients of all ages. Dr. Johnson has furthered his dental education in many areas including completion of the advanced esthetics course at the Las Vegas Institute. In addition, he is one of only a handful of general dentists to maintain a membership in the American Association of Endodontists (www.aae.org/) Dr. Johnson provides for a full spectrum of cosmetic and comprehensive dental care.
Dr John Rieke is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He joined the Northview Dental team in 2005 to provide specialty esthetic and functional periodontal care (gum care) to our patients and those of other area dentists. He completed a General Practice Residency in 1998 and a rigorous Specialty program in Periodontology in 2002. Dr. Rieke is an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Kyle Wilkes joined our team at Northview Dental in 2008. He is a graduate of St. Johns University and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He received post-graduate training in the placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Wilkes enjoys all areas of clinical family dentistry. He is trained in CEREC cad/cam dentistry as well as being an Invisalign provider.
